Jewish monuments

Jewish Street : Today but roman numerals on the pavement show where once Jewish houses were situated. The classical building of Jewish school (parcel number: 100), which was here from 1872 to 1938 is also very remarkable. A fine Empire styled spiral staircase (built in 2nd half of 19th century) is an essential part of school’s interior. This house was rebuilt 1842 by J. Opolzer plans. Currently before house reconstruction.

Palacký Street:

This street is famous because of the houses which were in possession of the financier of the Duke of Valdštejn – Jakob Baševi. Thanks to him, the Duke was able to realize his magnificent building plans.

Birth house of Karel Kraus:

This house is situated in the northwest corner of the main square (Fortna Street 43) and is signified with a commemorative plate.

Cmentarz żydowski:
