Chapel of St. Peter and Paul in Byšičky

The Church of St. Peter and Paul in Byšičky is one of the oldest monuments in the surroundings of Lázně Bělohrad.

The first mention of it dates back to 1267. It was originally a Romanesque chapel as is apparent from the rotund apse on the eastern side, which survived all later reconstructions and extensions. We must also mention that Byšičky even inspired the poet Karel Jaromír Erben to write the ballad The Wedding Shirts.

Location: 2 km from Lázně Bělohrad, in the former village of Byšičky at the edge of the forest.
