Harrachov sepulchre of the Holy Cross, Horní Branná

The Harrachov sepulchre of the Holy Cross in Byzantine and Renaissance style is a unique building for Central Europe.

The sepulchre was consecrated in 1870 and consists of two parallel regular eight-sided prisms of different heights. In 1875 coffins of deceased members of the family of Counts of Harrach were brought here from the Chapel of St. Aloysius. Nowadays, the sepulchre is used as a ceremonial chamber.
