The ruin of the castle is located at the northwestern side of the village of Velenice in the direction towards Svitava.

The access to the building was probably from the north where you can see a 2.5m wide ditch carved in the sandstone. Behind it, there are remnants of a palace and its annex; then the fort is decreased to the level of a watch tower, of which walls up to two metres are preserved. In the slope between the palace and the tower you can identify cellars carved directly in the rock.

The castle is open for free.

Locality: 10 km to the northeast from Česká Lípa, 4 km to the south from Zákupy.
