The Kopanina is one of the first lookout towers built by the Czech Tourist Association.
The 18-metre-high lookout tower with a covered gallery was built in 1894. Its circular panorama offers views of Mount Přední Žalý, Mnichovo Hradiště, Bezděz Hill and Ralsko Hill. Mandlová Hora, a deposit of precious stones, is situated in the south-western part of the ridge.

- on foot: from Malá Skála, Frýdštejn, Pulečný and Klíčnov (follow the marked trails).
- by car: from Kopanina (car park).
Locality: 1,5 km to the north from Frýdštejn, 3 km from Malá Skála.
